If you’ve arrived here, you’ve probably heard about recent federal developments involving 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and are wondering what they mean.
The DEA has announced its intent to begin the temporary scheduling process for 7-OH. While this is an important development, the process is not over. The public will have an opportunity to participate during the federal public comment process before the DEA moves forward.

- Say your name and where you live.
- Make clear that you are a 7-OH consumer.
- Say that 7-OH is important to your life and briefly explain why.
- Ask HHS to tell DEA not to place 7-OH into Schedule I.
- Make clear that you support science-based regulation, not prohibition.
- Explain that consumers are paying attention because this decision would directly affect their lives.
Sample Message
“Hi, my name is [NAME]. I live in [CITY/STATE], and I am a 7-OH consumer. 7-OH is important to my life because [BRIEF REASON]. I’m asking HHS to oppose putting 7-OH into Schedule I. Please support science-based regulation instead of a ban. Thank you.”
